A local organization will be coordinating an artistic event held at several destinations in downtown Springdale.
ART WALK is a program hosted at Historic Downtown Springdale that invites people to visit local creatives and show their support for the city’s museums, galleries, and boutiques. The experience begins with participants picking up a map and passport at the R McClintock Fine Woodworking Shoppe. There will be multiple stops at the event, including the Trailside Coffee Company, Shiloh Museum of Ozark History, and Natural State Rock & Republic.
The organizer of the walk is the Downtown Springdale Alliance, which is a nonprofit established in 2011 that wishes to create a more vibrant city center. The organization’s executive director is Jill Dabbs, and its events director is Greg Thompson. Several activities are coordinated by the alliance each year, such as the Arkansas Black Music Expo, Kids Night, and Trivia Night. Groups such as this may market their community events to motorists by using banner printing to produce Signs for outdoor use.
The artistic program will take place on Saturday, June 11th from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There is no cost or need for attendees to register to participate in the art walk. Those who visit each of the stops on the activity’s map will be eligible to receive a gift from the creatives of Springdale.
