Quilting club to hold presentation at Springdale library
The Quilters United In Learning Together (Q.U.I.L.T.) Guild of Northwest Arkansas (NWA) will give an educational presentation in July at the Springdale Public Library.
Ozark Quilt History with Q.U.I.L.T of NWA is an event where people can learn interesting facts about local history from knowledgeable presenters. The hour-long program will cover several topics, such as how to identify the age and origin of a quilt. Guests are invited to bring quilts from their households to share their stories during the event. The history presentation will take place at the Springdale Public Library’s Shiloh Room.
Q.U.I.L.T of NWA is an organization that was established in 1985 to promote the appreciation of quilting and enhance the quilting skills of its members. The first president of the group was Sharon Phillips. The organization participates in many events, such as the Quilt Show at the Benton County Fairgrounds and the Churn Dash Quilt Challenge. People who become members of the group can attend club sewing sessions, monthly meetings, and quilt-themed workshops.
The presentation on Ozark’s quilting history will be held on Saturday, July 19th from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The intended audience for the library program is adults. There is no cost for people to attend the Springdale Public Library’s activity, and registration is not needed. Organizations that hold club events at local venues like this may use printing services to create custom posters and flyers for their programs.
