Canine fundraiser to return to Springdale winery

The Sassafras Springs Vineyard & Winery in Springdale will be hosting a fundraiser organized by the Humane Society of the Ozarks (HSO).

The Dog Days of Summer is an event where people can support dogs in need while spending time with their own pets. Attendees can bring their pooches to the vineyard and participate in photo opportunities. There will also be an on-site caricature artist, and guests will have a chance to meet with adoptable dogs. A percentage of the food and drink purchased from the venue will go to the HSO. Visitors may also partake in silent auctions at the vineyard.

The HSO is an organization that educates the community on the ethical treatment of animals. The group also supports pets in need by removing them from abusive situations and rehabilitating them for safer households. People may become a member of the HSO for $25, which includes perks such as discounts to the Best Friends Animal Hospital and Mike Price Photography. Members also get invites to the HSO’s meetings.

The event will be on Sunday, May 7 from noon to 4:00 pm. No registration is required to visit the winery for the fundraiser. Those who want to support the HSO can volunteer for the group or adopt one of its available animals. Organizations that put together local fundraisers like this may advertise their beneficial events with flyer printing.
