The Alaska Zoo Kid’s Fun Run is stampeding in this weekend, offering various courses depending on the age of the children in attendance.
Sponsored by the Alaska McDonalds, Healthy Futures, and Odom Corporation, the run is part of the Healthy Futures Series. Children will enjoy a great time and plenty of fresh air. Sponsors of the event might have used poster printing to share information with parents in the community.
This annual event usually fills up quickly, so the organizers recommend that children are registered in advance. All of the race courses are user-friendly and parents are welcome to run along with their kids, provided they run behind the pack of children in the race.
The race is divided by age group, with each group starting at different times on different courses. Each race has an older runner in the front to guide the children around the course and monitor them during the run. All children will receive a bib or T-shirt at registration.
The cost to participate is $25 per runner, and it will be taking place on Saturday, May 3, with registration kicking off at 8:30 at the Alaska Zoo located at 4731 O’Malley Road in Anchorage. For additional details, or to register, please visit the zoo’s website or call the office during business hours.
