The Annual Tour of Anchorage is set to come back to the community next month for its 33rd year.
This busy sports event involves several skiing and biking divisions that range between 25 to 50 kilometers each. To adjust to the changes in place to reduce health risks, Anchorage participants must be symptom free and should wear facemasks at the starting and finishing lines of their respective race divisions. To provide athletes with comprehensive event information, the organizers frequently use printing services to create materials such as maps of race routes and printouts detailing event regulations.
Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage (NSAA) members can preregister online for a fee of $85 per adult. Non-members may also sign up for $95 per individual. Teens ages 13 to 18 years old who are NSAA members or non-members can join for $50 per person. Registration costs for children ages 12 and younger are priced at $35 per child.
For the Tour Double event, which includes a ski race followed by a bike race, participants can register for the standard fee for the first half and pay an additional $50 to cover the second.
Race bib pickups are scheduled for Friday, March 5 between 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm outdoors at the APU Moseley Center Parking Lot.
The 33rd Annual Tour of Anchorage is scheduled to proceed on Sunday, March 7.
