Anchorage will be hosting the annual Statewide Trails Conference this April.
Alaska Trails is the organizer of this event. The organization’s mission is to build and maintain safe, sustainable trails throughout Alaska. Alaska Trails generally organizes the yearly conferences as in-person events, although this year the event is set to be streamed live as a virtual meeting.
The Statewide Trails Conference is designed to provide users of trails, trail builders, government organizations, and non-profit organizations with a platform to network and discuss the maintenance and creation of trails in Alaska. Some of the topics that will be central to the Anchorage meeting include what sustainability practices trail builders and maintenance workers can adopt to improve trails, and how to raise more awareness on the economic and health benefits of outdoor trails. When attending similar professional events, participants often utilize business card printing in order to exchange printed Copies of contact and company information with other attendees.
Registration for the first day only of the conference is entirely free. For those who wish to only attend on the second or third day of the conference, the fee is priced at $45 per person. Anyone who wishes to attend all three days of the event can sign up at $75 per individual.
The conference is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, April 14 to Friday, April 16.
