Anchorage music lovers have a treat in store as concerts continue in November.

The Anchorage Lutheran Church is presenting its ALC Concert Series, this time featuring Duo Arco-Mano, a talented Brazilian duo comprised of Felipe Garibaldi on guitar, and Márcio Cândido on the violin. The works on the program at the coming event include music by Barrios, Turina, Paganini, and others. Poster printing can provide information about events like this.

Both musicians are Brazilian. Mr. Garibaldi is from São Paulo, and is a music researcher, performer, and educator. He holds a Bachelor in Classical Guitar Performance and a Master of Music; both from the University of São Paulo, where he studied with guitarist Edelton Gloeden. He has taught at the Adventist University Center at São Paulo, and won the “Classical Music Performance” prize at the University of São Paulo in 2012.

Mr. Cândido has performed throughout the western hemisphere as a concertmaster, soloist, and as a chamber music collaborator. Among other posts, he was concertmaster for the Boston Civic Symphony, and appeared as a soloist with the Orquestra Sinfônica da Bahia, and the Orquestra Filarmônica do Rio de Janeiro, among others. He held a teaching position at Boston University, which granted his doctorate.

The musicians’ performance of the Third Movement from “The History of the Tango” by Piazzolla was called an excellent interpretation.

The concert begins at 4.30 pm on November 10, at the Anchorage Lutheran Church on N Street. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.
