Economic development group to hold luncheon in Anchorage

The Anchorage Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) will be holding an event at the Dena'ina Center in August.

The 2023 3-Year Outlook Luncheon is a program where people can connect with local businesses and hear speakers talk about the city's economic development. The keynote speaker for the conference is Mick Cornett, the mayor of Oklahoma City. Attendees can also learn about the economic outlook of Anchorage from Bill Popp, the president and CEO of the AEDC. Members of the Choose Anchorage Leadership Committee will also speak at the event.

The AEDC is a private corporation that was founded in 1987 to help promote the growth of businesses in Anchorage. The organization develops the city's recreational opportunities and advocates for sound economic policies. Many services are offered by the AEDC, such as informing businesses about potential opportunities in Anchorage and assisting corporations with finding office spaces. The group also connects local companies with community leaders and influencers.

The luncheon will be held on August 2 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Those who have invested in the AEDC can purchase tickets for $75, and non-investors can attend for $85. Companies can buy sponsorship packages for the luncheon that range from $1,000 to $5,000. Those who organize business events such as this may give Corporate Gifts to the organizations that support their programs.
