Anchorage to host summit for young professionals

The Anchorage Chamber of Commerce will be holding an annual summit in April at the Dena'ina Civic and Convention Center.

The Alaska Young Professionals Summit is a conference where aspiring professionals can meet and learn from business leaders. Attendees can also be nominated for awards such as Young Professional of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year. The keynote speaker will be Jessica Rae Vos, a spacecraft systems engineer who works for NASA. She was born and raised in Chugiak, Alaska and earned a degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Companies can support the Chamber's event by purchasing a sponsorship package. Businesses can pay between $500 and $10,000 to sponsor the summit and receive benefits like logo recognition and the ability to add promotional materials to the event's swag Bags. Organizations that purchase an exhibitor booth space for $500 will have their names featured on the summit's event pages and be included in the conference's official program. Vendors with stalls at events like this can network with attendees by bringing Business Cards to their booths.

The summit will be held from Friday, April 21 to Saturday, April 22. General admission to the conference will cost attendees $325, although members of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce can purchase their tickets for $250. Those who register for the event after April 15 will pay more for admission.
