Anchorage to hold yoga festival

Anchorage will be hosting a community yoga festival managed by The Movement Barre LLC in July.

The AKYOGAFEST is an event held at Kincaid Park where people can experience multiple styles of yoga. During the festival, guests will receive unlimited access to all classes and workshops. Every course will last for 50 minutes. No prior yoga experience is required for people to take part in the lessons, and all ages and skill levels can attend the fest. Attendees can bring their own towels, water bottles, and yoga mats to the festival.

Each date of the fest will feature unique classes for guests to join. Saturday will have programs such as Intro to Acroyoga, No Hands Yoga Flow, and The Business of Energy. A few of Sunday’s exclusive activities include Sensory Exploration, Chair Yoga, and Integrative Slow Flow. Many experienced teachers will be at the festival, like Emily Anderson, Alexander Bayer, and Erica Glass. Instructors who go to events similar to this may bring Business Cards to share with their students.

AKYOGAGEST will be held on Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. Tickets for access to a single day at the festival will cost adults $30 and children $15. Those interested in attending both event dates can pay $50 for adults and $30 for kids. Prices will increase after May 30.
