Anchorage to hold cultural food festival

The Tacos and Tequila Festival will come to Anchorage in May at the Sullivan Arena Parking Lot.

Fans of cultural events and concerts can attend the Tacos and Tequila Festival to sample dishes and alcohol from multiple vendors. People will enjoy many activities during this year's event, including lucha libre performances, a chihuahua beauty pageant, and a car show. There will also be stations for trying margaritas and a cigar lounge. Attendees can vote for their favorite chip dips during the festival's queso and salsa competition.

The headlining acts for the fest will include the Ying Yang Twins, Nappy Roots, and Petey Pablo. The Ying Yang Twins are a hip-hop group that has worked with famous performers such as Britney Spears and Lil Jon. The duo has been performing since 1997. Nappy Roots is a Southern rap group that formed in 1995 and released songs like Roun' the Globe and Sick and Tired. Petey Pablo works as a record producer and rapper and has even appeared in shows like Drumline and Empire.

The Tacos and Tequila Festival will be held on Saturday, May 31 at 3:00 pm. General admission to the food fest and concert will cost $75 per person. VIP passes for the festival can be bought for $150. Only those with VIP tickets may participate in the tequila tasting activities. Organizations that promote similar food events to this may use poster printing services to raise awareness for their festivals.
