The Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage (NSAA) will hold an annual skiing event for children in February at Kincaid Park.
Ski 4 Kids is an annual event where local children can enjoy several outdoor winter sports in a supportive environment. The program invites nearly 500 children to take part in activities such as fat tire biking and ski jumping. The course at Kincaid Park will also include an obstacle course, the Avalanche Adventure, and Storyboard Ski. Many local schools have received grants from the Ski 4 Kids program, like Williwaw Elementary Kindergarten and the Fronteras Spanish Immersion Charter School.
The NSAA is an organization that maintains skiing trails, hosts athletic events, and offers educational programs for people of all skill levels. The group was originally known as The Nordic Ski Club of Anchorage and was formed in 1964. The NSAA has organized notable events such as the Solstice Tree Tour, Tour of Anchorage, and Ski for Women. Kikkan Randall is the group’s executive director, and Matthew Hebard is the NSAA’s events manager.
Ski 4 Kids will be held on February 15th. Companies interested in supporting the skiing event can pay between $250 and $3,000 for sponsorship packages. The benefits of sponsoring the NSAA’s program include being featured on the event website and banner recognition. Those in charge of similar events can add the Logo Design of sponsors to their Posters and Flyers.
