Anchorage market to showcase local vendors

Those interested in browsing local businesses can attend an event at the Egan Civic & Convention Center in Anchorage.

The Make It Alaskan Market is a multi-day marketplace where consumers can purchase locally-made products like home decor and crafts. The first day of the event will be a Sip & Shop experience with live music provided by Zen Trembles. A bar will be set up at the convention center with special alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The final event date will feature stores operated by those under 18. There are only eight featured Junior Creators at the marketplace.

Businesses interested in taking part in the Make It Alaskan Market can pay between $350 and $650 for a space at the venue. Vendors can choose to have a table or designated booth area. People who rent booths at the marketplace will receive a draped back wall, two side rails, and two chairs. Tables, lighting, and electricity access must be ordered from Alaska Event Services. Merchants can also use Alaska Event Services for carpet rentals and forklift services.

The market will be held from Friday, October 4th to Sunday, October 6th. The marketplace will only be open to those 21 and older on Friday. There is no cost for consumers to browse vendors at the convention center, and registration is also not needed.
