The Alaska Institute in Anchorage will be holding an event in November where people can learn more about the school’s massage program.
Day in the life - Massage Student is an event that gives aspiring massage therapists a chance to see what being a student at the Alaska Institute is like through an in-person experience. During the program, guests will get to interact with current students of the Institute and meet with the school’s faculty. The massage therapy program offered at the Institute includes courses such as Pathology & Special Populations, Theory of Oriental Medicine, and Meridian & Acupressure Therapy.
The Alaska Institute of Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture & Massage Therapy is a school interested in helping others achieve wholeness through education. The Institute was initially formed in 2003 and was known as The Oriental Healing Arts School of Massage Therapy. Many programs are offered at the Institute, such as Essential Oils Certification and Thai Yoga Massage. The school even has a student-run blog with articles about massage therapy.
The Day in the life program will be held on Friday, November 18 from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. There is no cost to visit the Alaska Institute and partake in the open house activity, though guests should register in advance. Educational organizations such as this may promote themselves to potential students by using flyer printing services to create advertisements.
