Anchorage forum to organize experimental workshop

The Alaska Humanities Forum in Anchorage will be hosting a workshop in September that covers the power of questions.

The Art of Powerful Questions is a multi-day, interactive workshop held over Zoom calls. During the lectures, attendees will learn how to hone their questioning skills and apply those abilities towards reflecting on real problems they face in personal or professional environments.

The course helps students understand the ways questions can improve their relationships and inspire new ways of thinking. Participants will practice giving and receiving feedback on the impact of their questions.

The Alaska Humanities Forum is a non-profit organization founded in 1972 supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities. The group’s mission is to connect Alaskans through community-strengthening experiences while preserving the stories of the state’s citizens.

The organization offers workshops and youth programs throughout the year to help people grow as professionals and individuals. Groups similar to this may promote their community activities to locals via poster printing.

The workshop will begin on September 9th and will continue each Thursday until September 30. Each course will last from 8:30 am to 11:00 am. The class will cost students $100 to enter. Those interested in contributing to the Alaska Humanities Forum can donate on its website. Information about upcoming events and grants offered by the organization can also be found online.
