Volunteers of America (VOA) Alaska will be organizing a family-friendly fall festival in October at 2600 Cordova Street in Anchorage.
VOA Alaska’s Second Annual Fall Festival is a public event where families can partake in fun activities while learning about local resources. The afternoon will include free food and music entertainment for attendees. Companies interested in helping VOA Alaska with the program can become a sponsor. The tiers cost between $1,000 to $25,000 and will include perks such as being recognized by the fest’s emcee and getting to host an activity table during the festival.
VOA Alaska is an organization that empowers the state’s youth and families by offering beneficial services. The programs from the association include substance use counseling, supportive housing, and mental health therapy. The president of the organization is Julia Luey, and the group’s vice president of program operations is Jamie Elkhill. People can help VOA Alaska by donating money online or paying to sponsor a camper for the organization’s Camp Hope program.
The fall fest will be on Sunday, October 8 from noon to 3:00 pm. The event is free for families to attend, so no registration is required to participate in the festival. Organizations that put together annual kid-friendly activities like this may use poster printing to spread awareness for their events in places like libraries, recreational facilities, and schools.
