The Alaska Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Network will soon hold a conference in Anchorage.
Those in the therapy industry can attend a two-day program to learn about The Distancing Technique. The technique is used to help patients combat anxiety disorders such as panic disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and phobias. The conference's first day will cover the types of OCD and define the Distancing Technique for attendees. The second date of the event will discuss topics like the Ego State Theory and play therapy techniques. Both days of the conference will include networking lunch breaks.
The presenters at the event include C. Paula Krentzel and Jennifer Tattersall. Krentzel is a certified EMDR clinician and a practicing psychologist with three decades of experience. She has several areas of expertise, including depression, attachment disorders, and chronic medical disorders. Tattersall is a certified EMDR therapist who graduated from the University of Connecticut. She has worked with adults who have trauma and abuse substances.
The conference will be held on June 30th and July 1st, and each day of the program will last from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Tickets to the event are $465 per person. The admission cost will include an email copy of the slides and presentation materials for the conference. Those who hold events like this may order custom promotional Pens to share with attendees.
