AmeriCorps members to meet in Anchorage

The Sheraton Anchorage Hotel & Spa will be holding a meeting for AmeriCorps members in March.

The 2023 AmeriCorps Member Gathering is a three-day program where people can meet their fellow organization members and participate in workshops that develop their skills. The theme for the event is United in Service.

Each date of the conference will include lunch and snack breaks. Those who attend the gathering will hear from speakers, take part in team-building activities, and get inspired. Attendees will also come up with ideas for how they can best serve the community.

AmeriCorps is an organization that helps people in need by performing acts such as providing independent living services to seniors, restoring communities impacted by disasters, and building affordable housing. The group also offers financial literacy training and supports students in more than 12,000 schools. The chief executive officer of AmeriCorps is Michael D. Smith, and the organization’s chief of staff is Jenny Mauk. People can join the group or assist its causes by donating.

The AmeriCorps gathering will be held from Wednesday, March 8 to Friday, March 10. There is no cost to go to the event, though AmeriCorps members can register in advance.
