What's Happening in Falkirk, Scotland…

Top comic to perform gig near Falkirk

One of the top stand-up comedians in the country will be performing a live show at a venue not far from Falkirk later in the year, as a stop on his tour of the UK.

Gary Meikle is set to hit the road with a brand new show that he has called ‘Neurospicy’. The name is a reference to his diagnosis as being ‘neurodivergent’, which he received early last year. What that means is that his brain operates differently to that of most people. Among other things, it can lead to a greater likelihood of issues such as ADHD.

This is what Meikle will be talking about in his new show, which will see him explore his condition and the impact it has had on his life. He will try to explain to the audiences what life feels like from his perspective – all through the medium of comedy.

Meikle will be performing ‘Neurospicy’ at Grangemouth Town Hall, just a few miles outside Falkirk. Venues in the local area sometimes use poster printing by Falkirk shops when they need to advertise their upcoming shows.

This tour is being promoted by Breakneck Comedy, and its founder Naz Hussain said that the company was thrilled to be involved. He added that he had watched Meikle’s rise to fame.

Meikle will be appearing at Grangemouth Town Hall on 9 May.
