More success for fast-growing Falkirk firm

One of the fastest-growing firms in Falkirk recently celebrated further success as it launched two innovative new projects to complement the opening of new premises in the region.

ID Systems is an engineering company that works with the industrial sector as well as gas and water companies. It creates products that prevent blockages and help systems remain in top condition, meaning fewer breakdowns and a smoother running operation.

The company was awarded a prestigious accolade at the 2011 Falkirk Herald Business Awards where it picked up the prize for the most innovative company or product. The firm attributes a lot of its success to this exposure and recognition. Companies like this often trade on reputation and recommendation too; networking is a big part of this and building relationships with key clients often starts with the exchange of digital Business Cards.

Falkirk company ID Systems is headed up by Iain Doherty. Ian commented on their recent run of successes, saying:

“We are experiencing considerable growth in our traditional markets, but at the same time we see huge potential for our innovation product range to reach new untapped markets.”

Margaret McCulloch, an MPS, also spoke about this, saying that it was great news for the local economy:

“In tough times for the economy, it is doubly important that we celebrate the achievements of businesses which are growing, innovating and generating jobs in Scotland. I can’t think of a better example of such a business than ID Systems UK Ltd.”

In 10 years, the workforce at ID Systems has grown from just a few employees to a 120-strong team.
