Lulu to perform gig in Falkirk
Scottish singing icon Lulu is set to perform a concert in Falkirk next year, as one of the stops on a tour of the UK that she will be embarking on to mark 60 years in the music business.
The legendary singer, who was born in Glasgow, had her very first chart hit back in 1963 with a cover of the Isley Brothers song ‘Shout’. That launched her successful career, and she plans to now celebrate it by playing a series of concerts across the country. This tour will be called ‘For the Record’, and one of the places she is scheduled to play at is Falkirk Town Hall.

According to the Falkirk Herald, Lulu stated that she was thrilled to be able to perform live again for the first time since 2019, before going on to say that:
“It’s been an incredible story and I’m looking forward to telling that in ‘For the Record.’ This is a completely different show to anything I’ve ever done before.”
For the Record will combine musical performances with reminiscences from her long career and video clips of some of the high points along the way. It will come to Falkirk on 19th April, 2023.
