Golf training centre to be launched in Falkirk

A brand-new training centre for golfers is going to be launched at a business park in Falkirk, with the professional golfer behind the idea having secured planning permission.

The centre is the brainchild of Bobby Rushford, a pro who plays on the PGA Tour and who grew up in the Polmont area of Falkirk. He has been granted planning permission from Falkirk Council, which means that he can proceed with the development of the Fairways Indoor Golf Arena at the chosen site, which is at Abbotsford Business Park on Lammermoor Avenue.

Rushford used to be a member of the Glenbervie Golf Club and is not completely new to the creation of training facilities for players. Two years ago, he launched a successful arena in Coatbridge offering these amenities.

Brochure printing supplied by shops in the same locale can be useful for facilities of this sort, enabling them to stock Brochures outlining the training options that they offer.

The Falkirk centre will be built within Unit 2 at the business park and will lead to the creation of three full-time jobs for people in the town, as well as three part-time ones.

It will contain a pitching green, short game practice area and four bays for driving range simulations. Rushford hopes to attract golfers from the town and other parts of the country.
