Falkirk to host outdoor cinema events

People in Falkirk will be given the opportunity to savour some classic movies in the open air later in the year, as the town plays host to a special outdoor cinema event.

Adventure Cinema is coming to town and bringing its al fresco movie screenings with it. The location for its temporary Falkirk cinema will be the grounds of Callendar House, one of the most historic buildings in the area.

The screenings will take place across a weekend towards the end of the spring, and will include movies suitable for both adults and families.

In the former category will be the likes of the romantic comedy classic Pretty Woman and the 1980’s Top Gun. These will be evening screenings, while more child-friendly movies such as The Gruffalo and The Greatest Showman will be screened during the afternoons. The latter film is being promoted as a sing-a-long experience.

Brochure printing from shops in Falkirk can provide companies behind events like this that have multiple activities with programmes informing people of when each one is happening.

Residents of the town are being encouraged to bring refreshments with them for the various movie screenings. Picnics as well as camping chairs and blankets for sitting or lying on may also be brought along.

These Adventure Cinema screenings will be happening between 24 and 26 May, with afternoon and evening showings each day.
