Falkirk residents encouraged to Race for Life

People who live in Falkirk are being encouraged to put their names down for an event that is designed to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

The Race for Life takes place across the country every year. It features runs of 10k, 5k and 3k, with those taking part free to pick which distance they prefer to participate in. The event is open to women, men and youngsters and it is designed to bring in much-needed funding for the premier cancer charity in the UK.

This year will mark three decades of the Race for Life. Each year, it succeeds in raising millions of pounds to help with research into the disease. The chosen location for the 2023 event in Falkirk is Callendar Park. People who put their names down before the end of April can get a 30% discount on the entry fee.

Themed Promotional Products created by Falkirk outlets can help the organisers of events like this charity race to advertise them.

A spokesperson for the Race for Life Falkirk, Marianne Olier, told the Falkirk Herald that:
“Whether people are living with cancer, taking part in honour of or in memory of a loved one with cancer or signing up to protect their own children’s future, everyone has a reason to Race for Life.”

This event takes place on 25th June.
