Award nomination for Falkirk fast food outlet
An outlet in Falkirk that offers fast food has the chance to win a national award, with the news that it has been shortlisted for a place in the finals.
Three Little Pigs is located on Callendar Riggs in the town, having first opened just under two years ago. The owner and manager of the outlet is Izzy Kerr and its name is taken from the signature dish. That is a meal consisting of three different pork preparations. The outlet sells other kinds of fast food too though, including burgers – and it is these that have earned it an award nomination.
The outlet has made it to the finals of a competition called Best of British Burgers, which is a cause for celebration for everyone who works there. Three Little Pigs issued a public statement saying how delighted the team was by the news.
When local eateries win awards for their food, they are usually keen to let the public know about it. Promotional printed products from Falkirk shops that emphasise this information are one way to do this, such as notices in the window.
Since Three Little Pigs first opened, it has developed a reputation throughout Scotland. These days its customers are not restricted to Falkirk – they travel from as far away as Aberdeen and Fort William. It has even had customers from Canada and California.
The award ceremony takes place on 8th September.
