Awakening festival returning to Falkirk

A festival that was specially created for people with disabilities, and is the only event of its kind in Scotland, is set to return to Falkirk later this year.

Called Awakening, this festival was devised by Neil and Maureen Kilgour alongside David Irvine. It has been held on four previous occasions and is open to anyone who has a disability, as well as any friends or family that they wish to bring along. Each year, the event offers a mix of live music performances, family entertainers and food stalls.

All of that will be available again in 2024 and the venue will once more be Callendar Park, Falkirk. Logo Design provided by shops in the town can help the organisers of events like this to come up with memorable branding for them.

A spokesperson for the festival talked to the Falkirk Herald about the 2024 event, stating that:

“The air will be filled with laughter as children are entertained by captivating performers. Then get ready to dance to live bands, DJs and singers.”

This spokesperson then went on to add that performances at the festival would include a circus of fire show, while there would also be fairground rides and stalls. They concluded by urging those eligible for the festival to come along and join the fun.

Awakening will be held on Sunday 2nd June, from 12pm.
