Work begins on business park in East Kilbride

Plans for the construction of a sizeable new development for commercial use at a site in East Kilbride have moved another step forward, as the actual building work gets underway.

Langlands Commercial Park is being built at a cost of £7 million, and will cover a total of 28,000 square feet.

The largest area will be taken up by a warehouse that spreads across 26,250 square feet, but there will also be office buildings, a yard, four charging points for electric vehicles and 24 spaces for parking. The warehouse is currently under construction at the site.

This development is the brainchild of Knight Property Group, and its managing director Howard Crawshaw told the Glasgow Times that the money it is pouring into the area demonstrates its commitment to logistics projects that meet sustainability targets.

He went on to add that:
“The decision to proceed reflects the success of our existing Langlands project, and our strong belief that this development will be positively received by the Scottish market, as well as bringing new businesses and jobs to the area.”

Companies that move into the park once it is up and running will find useful services in East Kilbride. These may include places offering Corporate Gifts for helping to win over potential new clients.

This park is currently scheduled to be completed by April 2024.
