Trilogy completed by author from East Kilbride

A writer from East Kilbride, who worked selling wines, in engineering and as a lawyer before embarking on his current career, is soon to see the last volume in his successful trilogy hit bookshelves.

Graeme Gibson, 69, hails from the St Leonards district of East Kilbride and has found a large readership for his romantic political thrillers. The first two novels – titled ‘Archangel’ and ‘The Janus Complex’ – proved hugely popular and now he has completed the final part, ‘Redemption’.

These novels are largely set in Glasgow, with the new book focusing on the early 1970s and the rebellion and redemption of its protagonist. Speaking to the Daily Record, Gibson stated:

“I have always been interested in writing and dabbled a little in it until I finally ‘retired’ a few years ago.

“The idea behind the first book grew and grew and I realised it would be impossible to complete the story in one book.”

Gibson was employed in a wide variety of different jobs before his retirement – with brewery salesman, taxi driver and bus driver some of the other ones. He said that he is already beginning to develop ideas for new Books, which he hopes to publish in the future.
