Trampoline facility to open in East Kilbride

Those living in East Kilbride will soon have another way of adding a bit of bounce to their lives, as the town gets its very own £2 million indoor trampoline centre.

The giant arena, which will be called Air Space and is being built by outdoor adventure company Go Ape, will open towards the end of the year and be located at the town’s Playsport development.

It is set to feature over 100 trampolines, interconnected with each other, providing users of the facility with what Go Ape describes as an “urban playground”.

This type of park for indoor trampolining has long been extremely popular in America, and the facility in East Kilbride will be joined by others in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

However, the East Kilbride one will be the first, and Air Space operations manager Pete Brown explained:

“Air Space will be the first trampoline park in Scotland and Europe’s largest freestyle jumping arena and we have already had an incredible response from those who can’t wait to give it a try.”

Although there seems little doubt that it will be a hit with residents, Air Space will be able to call on the poster printing provided by Print shops in East Kilbride, to publicise it when it opens.

Furthermore, the new park is also set to lead to the creation of jobs for 60 people in the town.
