These proposals were made available to the local populace during a recent consultation day that was held at Calderglen Country Park’s K-Park Training Academy. This event was attended by dozens of residents of East Kilbride and they heard EKCT detail its plans to create a park area that is accessible and attractive.
The engagement officer for the project, Gail Ferguson, also participated in this consultation so that she could take in the views of local people and answer any questions that they had about it. Afterwards she spoke to a reporter from the Daily Record, stating that she was delighted at how many people had shown an interest in the project, adding that:
“As a local charity, EKCT relies on volunteers and partnership working to successfully achieve its aims, so it’s great to have made so many valuable contacts. Many thanks to everyone who attended.”
EKCT hopes that the creation of this woodland park will improve community spirit, wellbeing and health among local people, and should it get the go-ahead to proceed with its plans, it will be able to rely on places that offer Flyers to help encourage people to visit the parkland.Get a Free Quote for Flyers Get a Free Quote for Plans
