It means that East Kilbride Community Trust will be able to start construction work on the venue’s new facility, which will see its seating capacity almost doubled, as well as on improved changing room facilities.
Located within the Calderglen Country Park grounds, the K-Park Training Academy is where East Kilbride Football Club plays its home fixtures, but is also used for numerous educational and charity events each year.
At the moment there is a main stand that contains 358 seats and which was built five years ago, but the new stand – set to be placed to the pitch’s west side – will give it a seating capacity of 662.
The trust’s chief executive, Monique McAdams, told the Daily Record that the new stand was necessary to meet community demand:
“To continue to welcome everyone in the community in the way we have successfully done so over the years, we feel it is the right time to expand, which will allow us to welcome even more people into the Academy.”
Local facilities of this kind often make use of leaflet printers in East Kilbride, to help ensure that the services they offer are properly advertised.Get a Free Quote for Plans
