Pure Gym has announced that it will be opening a branch within this multi-million pound development, with the work on the site having already commenced.
Once it is completed, the entertainment and leisure centre will measure 70,000 sq ft and contain a wide variety of options for residents of the town, including 10 new places to eat and drink, while the Odeon Cinema and ice rink already at the location will be incorporated into it.
However, Pure Gym is seen as a key part of the development, with conversion work already underway on the space formerly occupied by H&M, and the gym is expected to be ready to open by the spring of this year.
Ian McLelland, the director of the centre, said he was delighted that work had started, adding:
“I am also pleased to announce that Pure Gym is heading to [East Kilbride] as part of the leisure development. The fitness chain is a leader in its field, with outlets across the UK, and I have no doubt it will be a huge success at EK East Kilbride.”
Pure Gym will be able to use flyer printing to put the word out once it opens to the public.
