A 16-year-old dancing sensation from East Kilbride overcame competitors from around the world recently, securing a fourth-place finish at the UDO World Street Advanced Solo Dance Championships.
Alongside her individual triumph, Adele Inglis also secured second spot in the intermediate under-18s section with her Killaz dance team, and fifth place as part of the MAD Dance Crew in the quads competition for entrants under 18.
It represented an impressive performance throughout the competition, held at Glasgow’s SECC, but the teenager has shown herself to be a serious talent before now.
Since she began dancing in 2009, she has claimed the award for Young Performer of the Year, as well as a string of Street Dance trophies, but these latest wins were her most significant achievements yet.
The competition drew in talented dancers from countries like France, Germany, Russia and Japan, most of whom had gained entry via their national championships, and they were judged by a panel consisting of more than 20 top choreographers and dancers.
Throughout the three days of the tournament, the teenagers competing were watched by a crowd in excess of 3,000, with those backing Adele able to call on services like the banner printing from East Kilbride Print shops to show their support.
Adele is now focusing on continuing to develop her skills at different styles of dancing, in addition to teaching others at Paisley’s West College.Get a Free Quote for Print
