Watfords Palace Theatre looks to the future

While the management of the Watford Palace Theatre has postponed the performance of a pantomime because of the pandemic, it has suggested that there will be events this winter.

The theatre has been working with the borough council to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Poster printing can be used to inform the public, especially when a business has to embrace change.

Peter Taylor, the elected mayor of Watford, is aware that the winter will be challenging because of the need to protect people from the virus. Nonetheless, he remains optimistic about what the theatre will be able to deliver. He told the Watford Observer:

“I’ve been lucky enough to have a sneak peek at what they have in store for Watford residents and visitors to the town and audiences are sure to be entertained.”

Brigid Larmour is the artistic director at the theatre. She has revealed that ticket prices will be slashed to encourage attendance in the months to come, and social distancing will be in effect to make the theatrical experience as safe as possible. The plan is that support bubbles will be able to buy tickets and sit in isolation from other groups.

People who purchased tickets for the pantomime have been given the opportunity to get their money back, or as an alternative, they were free to exchange their tickets for replacements.
