That event is called Winterfest and it marks the launch of the town’s festive celebrations. It features everything from live music performances and stalls with food and drinks to a parade through the high street and a selection of funfair rides. On top of all that, Father Christmas himself will also put in an appearance to join in the fun. The event has become a fixture of Christmas in Watford over the last few years.
One of the highlights each year is the Winterfest parade, beginning at the bottom of the high street. This sees marchers dressed in festive costumes accompanied by the sound of a marching band. At the head of the parade is Father Christmas on his sleigh. The event will culminate in the Christmas lights switch on.
Poster printing by shops in Watford can be useful when it comes to advertising upcoming events in the town.
Winterfest is financed and put together by Watford BID. Kara Mesiano from that organisation told the council website that:
“We are delighted to once again be delivering a festive event to mark the beginning of the Christmas celebrations in Watford Town Centre.”
The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 15.
