An enchanting stage adaptation of an acclaimed book is coming soon to a celebrated venue in Watford later this year.
The Watford Place Theatre has announced that it will be presenting a stage production of “The Lost Spells” this coming March. From cinema and theatres to picture and playhouses, venues displaying drama onstage often use experts in poster printing to produce high-resolution advertisements that entice members of the local community to attend.
The stage production has been adapted from the best-selling book that critics have called a ‘cultural phenomenon’. The Lost Spells was written by internationally acclaimed writer Robert Macfarlane, with illustrations by Jackie Morris, and has inspired and delighted readers of every age.
The story features a nameless girl finding a book of magical spells which can conjure a wild world. On her quest she meets moths, owls, a red fox, and flies with jackdaws.
The adaptation features new songs transforming the take into a music with the same message of encouraging people to want to save and celebrate the natural world whether it is in the countryside or the city before it is too late.
The Lost Spells production will be performed live at Watford Palace Theatre located at 20 Clarendon Road in Watford on Tuesday, March 28. The show is approximately 90 minutes in length and includes an interval. It is suitable for those ages 6 years and older.
