After a period of closure because of the Covid-19 pandemic, a Watford-based McDonald’s restaurant has altered its working practices. This shift enabled deliveries to start again, with Uber Eats playing an important role. Flyer printing can be useful in the food sector, especially when consumers have to be informed about evolving corporate activity.
McDonald’s use of the delivery-only model was a direct response to the crisis. Not all of its outlets will be open at the same time. Those restaurants that have focused on deliveries have not been using all their staff. One difference that has affected customers has been a restriction on menu contents.
Safety and health have become major concerns for McDonald’s. The fitting of perspex screens is part of a wider attempt to protect consumers, delivery drivers and kitchen staff. Paul Pomroy, the chief executive of McDonald’s in Britain and Ireland, said:
“Slowly, but safely we will return to towns and cities across the UK and Ireland and thank you for your continued support as we work through this crisis.”
Pomroy explained why McDonald’s has transformed its business in stages. He pointed out that customers, employees and suppliers are all obliged to adjust to the new normal. In addition, Pomroy thanked everyone for being patient during such a difficult time. In particular, he expressed gratitude to people who have remained in touch.
