Stationery collection may help needy near Watford

Sam and Joe Pressinger are collecting Stationery to assist underprivileged children near Watford.

The young Bushey-based brothers were influenced by a television documentary about poverty. The children attend St John’s School within Northwood. They have established an organisation called Stationery Moving so needy pupils have the tools to learn and play. Newsletter printing from Watford can be used by charities that want to engage with people who make donations to them.

Marc Pressinger, the father of the boys, told the Jewish Chronicle:

“They felt so many people must have drawers full of Stationery which would be great for people who do not. We will be processing all donated Stationery to ensure it is safe, and then collate sets with a little packet of sweeties ready for a new home."

The brothers managed to get their headteacher behind their innovative scheme. This meant that the independent school has hosted units for the collection of Stationery. It also led to the encouragement of a high number of children to participate in the initiative.

Retailers have also stepped up to the plate. Rymans and WH Smith have made donations of Stationery items. Furthermore, several London-based branches of Barnardo’s shall promote the venture going forward. Local collections of Stationery will be possible within a specific geographical area. Recipients of the goods will get their kit in sealed containers.
