Plans for hall in Watford get green light

Proposals to knock down a church hall at a site in Watford so that a replacement can be constructed alongside a number of brand new homes have been given the green light.

The hall in question is part of St Peter’s Church, which is on Bushey Mill Lane. It was built in the 1930s but the borough council has now decided to approve Plans for its demolition. A new church hall will be built to take its place, which will be a part one-storey and part two-storey structure.

In addition to that, the scheme will also see the construction of two semi-detached homes. Both of these will have four bedrooms. The number of spaces available for parking vehicles at the church is to be reduced to 14. At the moment there are 16 parking spaces.

When developers are putting forward schemes of this kind, graphic design outlets in the area can be very helpful. That is because they can provide high quality images showing what the finished projects would look like.

While some residents of the area raised concerns about the Plans, the council opted to give its approval. This was on the grounds that they would not lead to residents losing privacy or exposure to natural light.

It was also acknowledged that housing suitable for families in Watford is urgently needed.
