New start for boxing club in Watford

Watford’s Callowland Boxing Club is opting for a fresh start and is to be renamed Frankie’s.

The trainer Ricky English is a former boxer who has an impressive track record in the sport. His son, Frankie, died prematurely and the club will keep his memory alive. Printing services can be used to assist companies undergoing a rebrand to update their materials.

English told the Watford Observer:

“We need champs in Watford. I believe in my ability, I’ve done it once and I can do it again. While grieving, I’ve been studying and learning more about boxing.”

An acquaintance of Anthony Joshua, English has an impressive boxing pedigree. He became a professional boxer when he was 35, but training has been the major activity of his career. Taking over Callowland gym many years ago, he filled the boots of Bill Spencer.

English was responsible for training five champions at his old gym. These boxers all succeeded on the national stage. English hopes to work his magic at a fresh location in Watford Business Park.

Although English is now 55, he remains an ambitious individual. In particular, he has big Plans for the development of amateur boxing. This is partly because he believes that boxing can help keep young people away from gangs, guns and knife crime. Participation in sport can give people a sense of belonging.
