It has been reported that the train management changeover should take place in November. The idea is that more trains will be put on to meet passenger demand. Arriva Rail London Ltd (ARLL) may want to promote its services by using full colour printing from booklet printers.
Chris Burchell, the managing director for Arriva within the UK, said:
"We have been proud to play our part in the London Overground success story so far and look forward to working closely with Transport for London to improve services further, introduce more new trains and deliver a further step-change in customer service quality.”
Burchell paid tribute to the existing record of London Overground. He added that it would be crucial to maintain success and stressed the importance of the level of customer satisfaction.
It has been revealed that the contract between ARLL and Transport for London (TfL) is worth about £1.5bn. The idea is that it will last for over seven years, even if it is not extended.
Passengers could benefit from the modernisation of some of the stations. The improvements could make the journey from Watford to Euston more pleasant, especially as fresh trains should come on stream during 2018. Gareth Powell, an executive at TfL, has suggested his organisation is positive about cooperating with ARLL.
