The renowned train travelled through Watford Junction, Bushey station and Kings Langley station on the evening of 17th April. The iconic train made good time on its journey. Nonetheless, several photographers were present to capture its progress. Poster printing in Watford can be used by members of various organisations.
Candice Seakins was someone who spotted the train, despite the fact that its arrival was somewhat earlier than planned. Seakins told the Watford Observer:
“I’m so glad I saw it as it was lovely.”
Constructed in Doncaster, the train was completed during the course of the 1920s. It managed to travel from the capital of England to the capital of Scotland within a period of eight hours. The service provided by The Flying Scotsman was disrupted by the General Strike. However, the train was soon back on track and its journey times improved further during the 1930s. Under British Rail, regular passengers on the Flying Scotsman got used to stopping at Peterborough, York and Newcastle.
In recent times, the Flying Scotsman has been upgraded. Over £4 million has been spent on transforming the train. With the refurbishment completed, it has been possible for the train to go on tour. The Watford Observer Camera Club seems to have taken an interest in the train this year.
