Preston awaits the arrival of policeman turned comedian

The stand-up niche comedian Alfie Moore is on tour with his 'Radio Warm-Up Show' and is due to give a performance in Preston at the end of November.

This Sheffield-born performer grew up on a council estate and trained as an apprentice steelworker prior to joining the police. He served a total of 18 years on the force, eventually rising to the rank of sergeant.

Alfie came second in a nationwide stand-up competition and was hooked, only to serve another apprenticeship, learning his new trade in clubs nationwide. He brings a host of insights from his time on the force, where he insists humour is important to success.

The observational comic whose style is witty, and occasionally gritty, tells tales based on his daily policing. This is an interactive show, which he is delivering before recording his well-received programme 'It's A Fair Cop' on BBC Radio 4.

The audience is sworn in as police officers, before he simulates a real-life casebook situation. Alfie confronts them with several moral issues that an ordinary officer would have to face, and spectators participate in making the final decision.

Tickets cost £15.40 inclusive of a transaction fee. Promotional Products can be a cost-effective way for venues to advertise future comedy or theatrical events.

Alfie Moore's show has a starting time of 7.30 pm on Thursday 30th November at The Continental, Preston.
