Preston companies in awards contention

Three different food and drink outlets in Preston are in the running for prizes at a prestigious regional awards night.

The outlets in question have all made it to the finals of the 2026 Taste Lancashire Producer Awards, which are the only hospitality awards to represent the entire county. This prestige competition was the brainchild of Marketing Lancashire and that organisation runs it in collaboration with the local family grocer Booths. Outlets based in Preston are in contention in three out of the four available categories – which is a real coup for the city.

In the running for the ‘Bakeries, Pies and Pastries’ award is Williams Handbaked, while Fairham Gin is up for the ‘Beers, Wines and Spirits’ prize. Finally, in contention for the award for best ‘Fish, Field and Dairy’ outlet is Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses. The only category that does not feature a Preston outlet is ‘Pantry, Preserved and Ready to Eat’.

When local businesses win awards, they sometimes go to Preston shops that offer printed Business Cards. This is so that they can get new cards that promote those wins.

Marketing Lancashire partnerships and marketing director Vikki Harris told Blog Preston that:

“We’re always blown away by the quality and ingenuity of our Lancashire food and drink producers and this year’s applicants in the Taste Lancashire Producer Awards have not disappointed.”

The award ceremony is held in February.
