Preston will be getting a brand new cafe with a riverside setting, after the council chose to approve the Plans that were submitted for it.
This cafe will be created by converting a section of a building on Riverside that is currently lying empty. That building is known as Alpha Cottage and is a semi-detached property. Preston City Council gave the nod to plans for the cafe to be created on the ground floor. The first floor is set to be connected to that of the building next door, which is called Ribble Cottage.
When the cafe is ready to open, it will benefit from a particularly picturesque location. The chosen spot is by the banks of the River Ribble, which will make for a relaxing atmosphere for customers. Despite the peaceful surroundings though, it is only one mile away from the centre of Preston.
