This pub-restaurant would be based in the Preston suburb of Fulwood and would be a branch of the Miller and Carter Steakhouse brand. The proposed location is within the Eastway Retail Hub, and the company has been trying to get approval for seven years. It was meant to be one of the initial group of firms opening at that site, alongside the likes of Subway, Costa Coffee and Lidl, but delays prevented that from happening.
Now it seems as if it will finally be able to move forward. Preston City Council has given its application the nod at last, after further minor revisions were made to it. The brand is owned by Mitchells and Butlers and that company was required to alter the elevations, layout and solar panels before gaining permission.

A Miller and Carter spokesperson told the Lancashire Telegraph:
“This will be a significant investment and our beautiful new restaurant will create more than 60 jobs for local people.”
