The singer-songwriter Nick Harper, noted for his innovative style, is on tour and due to give a performance in Preston at the end of October.
The storyteller, poet and guitarist is the son of Roy Harper, who grew up in the well-known world of ‘60s songwriters and artists. He has spent two decades learning his trade touring and entertaining audiences, whilst impressing reviewers and other musicians.
Harper’s career began in the mid-'80s, initially recording the album “Whatever Happened to Jugula?”, working with his father and Jimmy Page. However, it was not until 1994 that his first EP, “Light at the End of the Kennel”, came out.
Seriously impressed, Glen Tilbrook of Squeeze fame subsequently signed Harper to the youthful Quixotic Records. Harper then toured the UK, the US, Canada and Japan recording his debut album, “Smithereens” in 1998.
He has released 11 solo albums in total, gaining a Number 1 chart hit with the original Blue Sky Thinking. This year will see him release a new acoustic record the title of which is yet to be made public, and which he will be promoting on this tour.
Tickets cost £16.50 inclusive of a booking fee. Banner printing can be an effective way of promoting a forthcoming show or musical concert.
Nick Harper's gig has a starting time of 7:00pm on Saturday, October 29 at The Ferret, Preston.
