Lovell Homes backs charity based in Preston

Emmaus Preston received a significant donation from Lovell Homes NW recently.

Preston’s Emmaus is the biggest charity shop in England and it was affected by a major burglary in March. After it heard of the £20,000 loss, Lovell Homes stepped up to the plate with a generous donation of furniture. The donated items included mattresses, headboards, chairs, tables and a sofa. Printing services can aid organisations that operate in the third sector when it comes to marketing.

Karen Wallis, a manager for Preston Emmaus, told Lancashire Business View:

“We’re absolutely thrilled with the donation from Lovell Homes. The furniture will be sold in our Preston Mega Store with all the proceeds going directly to help our Emmaus Preston community.”

Wallis pointed out that Emmaus Preston sells high quality products at affordable prices. She indicated that the charity uses its resources to assist homeless people.

The Emmaus community provides supported housing. In addition, it helps individuals to develop their talents. This approach combats social exclusion.

Lovell Homes’ Simon Corbett, a regional sales manager, indicated that the donated furniture was sourced from a diversity of show homes. These show homes are located in various locations around the region. Corbett praised the social contribution of Emmaus Preston.

Michael Allman delivered the furniture. He is a local removal specialist who is behind Michael’s Man and Van.
