Concert organised to raise money for Lancashire charity

A benefit concert is being held in Preston in December to help fund research that will improve the lives of those living with brain tumours.

The Katy Holmes Trust, which is hosting the event, was set up by Paula and David Holmes of Lancashire to help raise awareness of the illness.

The group is aiming to attract people from around Preston to attend the show, which is being headlined by Russell Watson, the acclaimed opera singer who has, himself, recovered from two brain tumours over the years.

Speaking about the concert and the founders of the trust, Russell told the Lancashire Evening Post:

"They are remarkable people and I am proud to be involved with their charity. Every single penny made from this special evening will go towards the Katy Holmes Trust."

Charity concerts like this one often benefit from promotion strategies and marketing activity to ensure that attendance is high and that money is made for the charities that they support.

A printing company in Preston could no doubt help the Katy Holmes Trust to reach out to more people and to raise more money by advertising the event using poster or flyer printing. Banner printing may also be used by Russell’s fans in the audience.

Preston Guild Hall will be the venue for the concert, which is set to take place on December 6. Tickets for the show are already on sale and more information can be found on the Trust’s website.
