A new music festival is set to be held at a location in Oadby this summer, and some of the artists to appear have now been revealed.
The name of this festival will be Home Grown Leicestershire, which is a reflection of the fact that many of the artists performing are from the local area. The headline act will be Tom Meighan, who is the former vocalist for rock band Kasabian. Meighan is a solo performer now, but he is still able to attract a sizeable crowd – including fans of Kasabian.
Another act that has been confirmed for the event is The South, which is a spin-off from the Beautiful South and features several former members. Fans can expect to hear classics like ‘Rotterdam’, ‘Song for Whoever’, ‘Perfect 10’ and ‘A Little Time’.
There will also be numerous up-and-coming local musicians appearing at the festival, including Queen Millz, Andrea Kenny and Jersey Budd. Poster printing can help organisers of upcoming music events to publicise them.
This festival is being put together by Red Panda Events and is designed to provide a showcase for future stars. The venue chosen for it is Leicester Racecourse and there will be a fun zone for children plus food stalls too.
Home Grown Leicestershire will take place on 23rd August.
